The Cleveland Arts Prize is the oldest municipal arts award in the United States, established in 1960 by the Women of the Women City Club of Cleveland. The organization celebrates artistic excellence across disciplines and career stages and has honored more than 400 artists, cultural leaders, and organizations throughout its history. CAP offers annual awards in categories including lifetime achievement, mid-career, and emerging artist honors, as well as fellowships and scholarships supporting the Northeast Ohio creative community.
