Downtown Cleveland, Inc.
Downtown Cleveland and the City of Cleveland invite artists to submit qualifications for a new asphalt art installation in the Gateway District. Funded through Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Asphalt Art Initiative this project will transform up to 20,000 square feet of hardscape with artwork that reflects the city’s unique character, while supporting safe, multimodal movement through a key downtown corridor.

CrossCountry Mortgage has launched a call for artists to design and create an original mural aboard the USS Cleveland. This commissioned piece will celebrate the spirit, history, and resilience of Cleveland — honoring our city’s legacy while representing it aboard a U.S. Navy vessel that carries our name across the world. The USS Cleveland is scheduled to be commissioned in May, marking the first time in the 250-year history of the United States that a U.S. Navy warship will be commissioned in the State of Ohio. (No compensation.)
