Maelstrom Collaborative Arts
Artists are invited to submit proposals for PORTAL, Maelstrom Collaborative Art's monthly public art series, which features twelve artists throughout the year, bringing free public art to the corner of Detroit Avenue and West 65th. Visual artists of any medium are encouraged to apply with a concept proposal and examples of past work. All concepts should fit within the doorway parameters of 32” wide x 88” x 4” deep. Artists paint/compose their work on a provided hardboard fitted to the doorway. $200 compensation.

Rococo, an artistic movement of the early 18th century, was characterized by its elaborate ornamentation, flowing forms, and playful sensuality.
