The Akron Zoo is seeking a muralist to create two murals for updated habitats featuring South American animals such as tamarins, saki monkeys, birds, and tortoises. The murals will replace existing Madagascar-themed artwork and must depict the South American rainforest using durable, scrub-resistant materials. The City of Shaker Heights invites experienced visual artists to apply for a public art project in the Chagrin-Lee commercial district. Two artists will be selected to lead community engagement and design one mural each (~200 sq. ft.), reflecting the neighborhood’s rich history, culture, and diversity. Final designs will be submitted in digital format and installed using heated vinyl on district buildings.
